10 months post resurfacing. second hip. no problems after first but this time i find it impossible to walk more than 1km without sever pain in bottom?

Not in favor of....: Resurfacing. May give some time to some patients, but results are to variable and it simply delays the need for a total hip. However, in truth, the loocation of pain may not be hip, and your maintain may be muscular (piriformis) or bursal. A hip injection is also a consideration. Arthritis of the hip, if appeciable cartilage loss is present, needs a total hip.
