Neuropathy: Peripheral neuropathy is a common cause of burning, aching, tingling feelings in the toes and feet. Redness and swelling is not common. I would start with an examination by your physician and a referral to a neurologist, who will order appropriate tests, may follow. Feet redness and swelling could be a reaction to footwear or be due to primary foot problems that a podiatrist can address best.
