My 3 year old has past breathing problems which docs believe to be asthma, he is coughing and has blocked nose and his resp rate of 40 do we need doc?

See below: Resp rate of 40 is elevated, not as bad for a 3 year old as would be for an adult but still. Try his asthma meds if you still have them, if they don't help go see a doc. Also if he has fever/chills and colored discharge. Good luck!

Asthma can be: serious! He should already be on meds for maintenance and rescue inhalers for quick relief. If you've already done so and he is still breathing in the 40's , he needs to be seen ASAP.
