I would: Be sure to brush and floss effectively and get regular check ups. Recession can also be caused by grinding or clenching which causes loss of tooth structure near the gum line so if you are a grinder or under enough stress to cause routine grinding or clenching please see your dentist and get a night guard and try to control your stress.

Recession: There are many reasons why we get receding gums but with proper brushing technique, using a soft toothbrush and visiting your dentist regularly you can minimize the process.

Recession: Can be caused by malocclusion, grinding/clenching, improper oral hygiene techniques, alcohol ab use, smoking anything, failure to have regular professional examinations/cleanings. Talk to your Dentist/Hygienist and have him/her create an oral hygiene program unique to your needs.
