Depends upon: which medications he is already taking. There are a number of different classes of medications for Parkinson's disease (PD). L-dopa (Sinemet) is usually the first medication used. PD is a progressive illness and requires periodic adjustment or addition of medication. Consider going with your father for his next doctor's visit, to discuss options with the doctor treating his PD.
