No: Even if you get a strep throat it is unlikely to hurt the unborn.Any illness that mom experiences during pregnancy that has a "blood" phase (germs circulating in the blood) can pass that to baby. Since strep is a localized infection it would not.Practice good hand washing & avoid kisses for the first day or so until your kid has been on meds, then transmission is unlikely.
