Yes: Just like any other infection, a tooth infection is bad for the health of your entire body. A cavity or decayed tooth left untreated will eventually abscess. This means the infection spreads from the tooth to the surrounding tissue and bone. This not only causes unbearable pain but the spread of the infection into the entire body. Please get your tooth treated as soon as possible.

Yes: An infected tooth can spread via deep spaces of the neck, via lymphatic system causing serious systemic infections. It is important to treat the infected tooth as soon as possible. Treatment may consist of root canal or extraction, and supportive therapy includes antibiotic.
