Within a few weeks!: Solodyn (minocycline) is a long acting minocin, a type of tetracycline used for years in the past to treat cystic acne. Solodyn (minocycline) is a newer, and might i say much more expensive , but improved form of the drug. Patients have seen miraculous results within as little as 2 weeks, but can't be used <12 or>65 yrs. Labs should be check regularly. Watch for headaches and blurred vision, which could be psedotumor cerebri.
