How long does it take tazorac and solodyn (minocycline) to work for acne?

1 to 2 months: Most topical and oral meds for acne take about 1-2 months to be effective. You may start seeing some improvement at 2-4 weeks but may take a while longer to get the maximum effect of the drug. It's also possible to look initially worse for the first 2-4 weeks before you start to see improvement.
