2 main choices: To replace teeth with a fixed (non-removable) option you have two choices: dental implants or a fixed bridge. Because dental implants replace the individual tooth or teeth, they do require involving the teeth adjacent to the space. Fixed bridges involve crowning (capping) the adjacent teeth which potentially could affect the long term health of these teeth. Implants have greater longevity.

With or without: Orthodontic treatment may be able to close some of the missing-tooth spaces. Aligning teeth before replacement with implants or bridges or removable partial dentures can simplify (and make less costly) the restorative treatment. Ask your dentist to refer you to an orthodontist who can work with your dentist to provide the best result.

Many options...: Depending on your situation, you can have a denture, a partial denture, implant-supported dentures or partial dentures, fixed bridges which are attached to your natural teeth, fixed bridges which are supported by implants, or individual implants for each tooth. A dentist can offer you advice on what is best for you.
