Is there a way to get rid of scoliosis?

Scoliosis: No. But, improvements of the severity of the curve(s) of a patient's spine are possible. Testing ordered by your physician is needed to find out appropriate treatment. A patient's age, bone age, health history, family history, degrees of the curve(s) are considered. For a minor curve: observation, moderate/severe curves could be helped by bracing and surgery; electrical stimulation has been used.

Short of fusion?: Scoliosis is a lateral curvature of the spine. Most cases are idiopathic (unknown cause). It can be observed, braced, or operated on. The only cure is surgery, but it is reserved for severe cases. Even with surgery, patients with scoliosis have more episodes of acute and chronic back pain.
