A member asked:

What to do if i'm having all my teeth extracted and getting immediate denturesi am only having local anesthesia what should i expect?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends really: If you have all your teeth (28-32) you can expect soreness, to what degree depends on many factors. Immediate dentures are really an estimate on what the doctor/lab think you jaw will be like once the teeth are out. There will likely be a lot of inflammation immediately after, thus making the dentures feel tight. Within a week or so, the inflammation will lessen, dentures will loosen. Good luck
