Pressure: Under complete local anesthesia , you will feel pressure, may hear noise but will not feel any pain. All dentists are concerned for the comfort of their patients so just communicated with your's usually by raising your hand during the extractions if you are not comfortable.

Needle sticks: The dentist will use a needle to inject local anesthesia around the nerves serving the affected teeth. My dentist uses a topical anesthetic to numb the area before that, but then i hate needles. Once the numbing medications work you will feel some pushing and prodding, but minimal to no pain.
