Both are good: Yoga and Pilates both employ a lot of core strengthening exercises without high impact or heavy lifting. I recommend them both to my patients frequently.

No: Both are great forms of exercise for flexibility and core strenthening for almost any back issue. Just make sure you have periodic check ups for your scoliosis if more than a mild case and maintain good weight control, avoid smoking and check bone density levels when the time comes as recommended by your doctor.
