No: Fungus is everywhere and whether you have swim shoes or regular shoes, you need to remember to disinfect shoes to avoid spreading foot fungus. Fungus occurs on the foot where there is a weakness in the texture of the skin (either too dry or too wet). So all the same precautions remain.
