No: Abscess means the presence of pus. Antibiotics can decrease the presence of.Pus however it will not cure the inflammatory lesion causing the problem. If it is a lesion caused by n infected pulp, then afoot canal is the solution for a cure. If it is an abscess caused from a gum pocket, curettage f the lesion and warm saline rinses along w/ the med is the proper treatment.
