Commercial cleaner: Soak them in a commercial cleaner made for dentures. If you mouth wash has alcohol in it, then the denture will dry out and weaken or discolor over time. A 30 second mouthwash soak is ok.

Yes: Flippers or dentures can be soaked in commercial denture cleansers, mouthwash, or even soap and water, then rinsed thoroughly before putting them back in.

Effervescent cleaner: The best thing to soak them in is an effervescent antimicrobial cleaner. (polident, efferdent, etc.) you should scrub them first with toothpaste and toothbrush. (forget tv ads). I have been doing this over 30 years and have never seen a problem from brushing them. Mouthwash/water ok, but there is up to 19% alcohol , in this and can dry out acrylic. Little goes a long way.

Denture cleanser: Same material you would use for full or partial dentures nothing else.
