What causes my eyes to be so red?

Red/pink eye: Redness of the eyes has many causes; 1) irritation as in foreign body, poking, corneal abrasion; 2) infection - conjunctivitis; 3)inflammation - iritis; connective tissue disease; 4) other conditions - glaucoma. The ophthalmologist can give you more conditions beyond the scope of this venue.

Drops.: If you are using drops to "get the red out" regularly, you probably developed an addiction to them. Stop using them.
