Maybe never: Disc abnormalites that cause no symptoms are common in the human species. Why did you get a MRI without leg pain?

It may not at all!: Disc herniations do not necessarily cause any leg pain or sciatica. Sometimes , you can injure your back and have back pain initially that can evolve to include the leg from minutes, to hours, to days to several weeks. Many times, as the leg pain progresses, the back pain improves, but 90% of disc herniations are treated non operatively.
