Honey for wounds: Honey is one type of wound product. The studies that have been reviewed for honey are not favorable. I refer you to: http://summaries.Cochrane.Org/cd005083/honey-as-a-topical-treatment-for-acute-and-chronic-wounds.

Medihoney: Do not just pour honey on a wound however the product called medihoney has proven very effective in wound care with good research to back this up. Medihoney is produced under sterile conditions with further refinement into the final product.

Depends: I wldn't use honey on a wound if it just underwent an i n d. Once the inflame process has settled down resolved a bit then one cld consider using honey. It all depends on the wound. Only a qualified wound doc can make this decesion.
