It works: Alberto, honey has strong antibacterial properties, and can be used as an anti-infective if conventional antibacterials are unavailable. If you have access to modern antibacterial creams, they work better, though. If you get spreading redness or fever despite treatment, consult your doctor. Hope this helps!

Yes it is true -: Historical as well as current modern science has shown that honey does have medicinal properties for wound care. However not all honeys are equal at providing this and in fact some can increase risk of infection due to contamination. The best known commercial product for wound care is named Medihoney. I would stick with a product that is designed specifically for treating wounds.

It must be: unpasteurized honey. Medical honey has been around now for years. it is a great product to aid in the healing of wounds.
