See your Dentist: If the stain can be removed by polishing that is the best way. If the stain is in the tooth then you can try bleaching that area of the tooth or have the dentist cosmetically bond over the area.

Stain near bonding: A stain or darkening next to a composite filling is a sign of caries or tooth decay recurring under the filling. This makes this question important for you to ask your dentist. The stain may always be bleached, but any decay must be corrected first. Bleaching is also a good thing to discuss with your doctor because the bleaching should usually be done before the new color of bonding is placed.
