A member asked:

Does an osteosarcoma appear in the front of the knee or behind it?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Knee cap: Osteosarcoma originates in bone tissue. The only bone in the "knee" is the knee cap. Most osteosarcomas will include long bones like the femur (above the knee cap), and the tibia or fibula (below the knee cap). It can appear to be growing in front of or behind the knee whether it is above or below the knee.
