No: Not necessarily. Some people with vertebral fractures don't have pain. The L1 fracture may be old therefore not causing you pain.

YES: spine fracture can cause pain. Osteoporosis in the absence of fracture is a silent disease. Need to discuss with your doctor regarding starting on medication treatment to prevent future fractures.
