3rd stage baby food: Are great.Feed him oatmeals, squash, sweet potatoes, spinach, diluted prune juices.Avoid apples, bananas, rice cereals and carrots because they are constipating.

Constipation: Giving lots of fluids and fiber-rich foods are the cornerstone for treating constipation. Vegetables, fruits (peaches, pears, prunes, etc) and whole grain cereals are best. Yogurt with sprinkled flax or bran is good. Fruit juices (apple, prune, pear nectar, etc) also help although i usually do not recommend juice in a child's diet. Water should not be forgotten.
