Typically 24hours: Generally taken in the morning, empty stomach (1/2 h before or 2h after eating). If taking the otc version, do not take for more than 2 weeks without seeing md to find out why you need to take it. In general, least potent med, for shortest duration, to take care of symptoms, is the way to go.
