> 24 hours: From the professional monograph: duration of secretion inhibition is up to 72 hours; inhibition is 50% of maximum at 24 hours. Inhibition increases with repeated daily dosing, reaching steady-state plateau at 4 days. After discontinuance, gastric secretion gradually increases over 3–5 days.
