Doctor can evaluate: For "new" sleep problems, something in the body or the mind has changed. A primary care doctor can evaluate first. A sleep medicine specialist (often a neurologist or pulmonologist with training in sleep disorders) can help, with an overnight sleep study. There may or may not be sleep apnea, or may be other sleep pattern changes. Of course, certain findings can affect one's ability to do his job.
