Lots of pain in right leg from hip to foot. no relief and on pain pills and muscle relaxers.can not lay down, has to sleep sitting straight up. can no?

How long. : It sounds like you are describing symptoms of sciatica. These symptoms often resolve with time and relative rest. I would recommend physical therapy. If the pain has continued longer than a few months then a MRI should be done. This can help isolate the source and direct treatment. You may be a good candidate for an epidural as well. Discuss with your pcp.

Likely nerve : Problem possibly sciatica or radiculopathy from lower back. See an orthopedist or neurologist. Sometimes, an injection may be needed if pain so severe.
