Yes : The swealling around your abdomen will take 4-6 weeks to go away. This is due to the healing process. On the other hand if you are having pain, distended, fever, not having bm, or nausea those are warning signs and you need to call your doctor.

Gas pain & bloating: It may take 1-2 weeks. Take simethicone 1-2 tabs scheduled 3x a day for 1 week.

Soon: The swelling and bloating due to the surgery (anesthetics and fluids) will usually resolve, for most women, within 2 to 3 weeks.
