Likely unrelated: Arachnoid cysts are often asymptomatic. When they cause trouble, it is by pressing on adjacent brain tissue. If your cyst is in the back of the brain it would not cause sensory symptoms you describe without causing a lot of other nasty things, like headaches, weakness, visual disturbance. This of course assumes that "back side" of the brain you refer to is the occipital lobe or behind cerebellum.
