Usually 24 hours: This depends upon how 'hot' you like your food. You can definitely warm up your food but don't eat it steaming hot. Two reasons: 1) you may still be numb and burn your gums 2) the hot food (especially liquids) can dissolve the blood clot and make you start to bleed again. Don't 'slurp' or 'suck' through a straw for 24 hours as this may dislodge your blood clot and cause a dry socket.

Depends: Usually after the first 24-48 hours hot foods should be avoided because it could promote bleeding. However, this could be extended if you have a more complicated extraction.
