Hot Foods: Following root canal therapy, the temperature of the food is irrelevant since there is no nerve in the tooth and therefore the tooth is not sensitive to thermal stimuli. Following a surgical extraction, i would suggest that you eat temperate foods for a few days to give the tissues time to heal. Since each wound and person is different, use sound judgement for your specific situation.
