A member asked:

Can i put henna on my hand after kidney transplant? ty

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Probably ok: Henna has colored material from a plant, mixed in with other natural ingredients (possibly sugar, molasses, fruit juice, water, etc...) if it is a natural henna. Haven't heard of any problems of henna going through the skin surface and causing people problems. However, being immuno-suppressed after a transplant, one should avoid putting substances on areas of broken skin (due to infection risk).
