A member asked:

Is it possible for ms to be passed on from parent to offspring?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Perhaps: Mother to her child in only 3-5% of cases, as the genetics involve susceptibility not direct effects, as in a true genetic disorder. Sometimes it does seem to run in some families in a higher frequency, but there may be unusual environmental influences in addition.
