What's a healthy diet?

Mediterranean, and: Eat fresh real food, not food from packages or mixes. Organic food, free of pesticides, is ideal. Eat brightly colored fruits and vegetables. If you eat meat, use it as a seasoning, rather than the main course. Avoid fried foods and sugar (added sugar, sugared drinks, alcohol, anything with high fructose corn syrup). Shop in the perimeter of the grocery store for the fresh products.

Alkaline not Acid: Alkaline not acid... A healthy balanced diet with quality organic, natural foods, is the best for teeth & your whole body health. Some new research indicates that organic, grass fed beef is more favorable some of the other meats. Prior to this, chicken has been the recommend. Avoid carbohydrates which break down to sugar & gmo's, sweets, soda, highly acidic foods, processed foods & fast foods.

Veg, fruits, nuts: A healthy diet consists of mostly plant based including green leafy vegetables and all different colors of fruits and vegetables. The majority of these should be raw as in a salad or lightly steamed. Meat should consist of lean chicken, turkey, fish, and occasionally very lean beef or pork. Snacks should be fruits, tree nuts, and whole grains. Go light on the carbs and only whole grains. No sugar.

Nutrient dense foods: Eat foods that are nutrient dense (like meat, fish, poultry, eggs, cheese, low starch vegatables and water) avoid foods that are not nutrient dense (like starches and sugars, including fruit) avoid sugars, fried foods, vegatable oils like canola & soy, meats that are cured wth nitrates & nitrites, aspartame, splenda, partially hydrogenated vegetable oils, maragarine, soy based products, sweetened beverages like juice & soda, microwaved foods, artificial colors & flavors. All of these products cause damage to the cells, tissues & organs in your body contributing to various diseases.

Variety: healthy eating has each of the food groups : protein, carbohydrates, fruits and vegetables. Protein can come from meat, chicken fish, nuts. Carbohydrates can come from whole grains, whole grain breads, beans, legumes. Healthy fats such as poly and monounsaturated fats should be part of the diet ( 10-20% of the calories- and not exceed 30%). Try to avoid fried foods, and sugar drinks

Very good question: 1)eat what will rot and do it before it does-eat fresh meats fruits veges grains greens and beans. 2)avoid SAD diet= STANDARD AMERICAN diet full of additives preservatives and coloring dyes and preservatives. 3)add essential fatty acids like flax seed or fish oil. If you did this you will be over 90% right

Happiness : Purpose of life is pursuit of happiness. Healthy diet is the one which you can cook with pleasure, enjoy eating and sharing with your loved ones, optimally has calories that you use that day with combination of fruits, vegetables. Dairy, grain, nuts and meat in moderation. This does not prevent diseases but is not a cause for one. I hope it helps.
