Several: Massive hemorrhage is the most important killer and is usually controlled with today's treatments (jehovah's witnesses are 66x more likely to die in childbirth); amniotic fluid embolization is rare but kills about 1 mother in 50000. Eclampsia and infection, formerly tremendous killers, are usually manageable today.
