What can i expect at my first pregnancy check-up?

Depends on md office: On a new OB visit, an in-depth medical, surgical, family, and medication history is taken. A physical exam is performmed, which usually includes a pap smear and cultures if you haven't had one within the last 3-6 months. Often bloodwork is done as well. Your doctor's office may or may not schedule a sonogram..This depends on a lot of clinical factors. Good luck!

History, exam, u/s: There may be some differences between offices, but the first visit with my patients include a thorough history, physical exam and vaginal ultrasound to confirm dates and number of fetuses.
