Sit down with doctor: After getting a cancer diagnosis, one must sit down with the primary care doctor and also with the oncology doctor, to get an idea of how accurate the diagnosis is (are there other cancers that look similarly?), how wide spread it already is, how aggressive the cancer is, what the treatment options are, what percentage of patients respond to each type of treatment, etc...
