Based on location: Not sure whether you refer to dermoid cyst of cranium or of ovary .In brain , based on the location and the symptoms the course of action -sy is decided. If close to the brain stem region -lower part , potential for getting infected causing meningitis is there. Similarly rupture can end up even fatally proceded by seizures, severe head ache. Maligant transformation is possible too. Consult sy/gyn.
