All varies: Usually though sutures are left in place for 2-3 weeks. A surgical shoe is worn during that time frame. If a pin is in the toe or some form of fixation then the doc may want you in the surgical shoe for 4 weeks though you can be walking during that time.

Which procedure?: If you have a small, in-office procedure to release a tendon, you should be healed within two weeks. If the deformity is rigid, and you have an outpatient procedure in an operating room involving bone cuts, pins, screws, or other implants, you'll likely only put weight on your heel for the first few weeks. You may be swollen for several months (feet take a long time to get rid of swelling!).
