Yes: Delayed infections, which are not as rare as you might think could cause would reopening. Other relevant causes would include leakage of spinal fluid through the dura from inadvertent puncture at the time of original procedure. Whatever the cause this wound needs to be examined by a surgeon. The 2 commonest causes risk serious consequences (sepsis, meningitis, spinal fluid leak, paralysis, pain).
