Where is your : Numbness? Have you had it since your epidural placement? Were you in labor? Did you have a parastesia when it was placed? All important questions. Your anesthesiologist would probably want to know about your complaint and can advise you how to proceed.

Not Likely: Serious nerve root problems after an epidural injection (whether for labor & delivery, pain control or a surgical procedure) are highly unlikely. Long term numbness such as you describe deserves a careful review of your medical records and a thorough physical exam. I encourage you to take some time and look into this.
