A member asked:

What medicines are good for sinus relief?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Decongestants: Sinus congestion occurs due to an inflammatory response. This can be allergic or infectious. If it is infectious, antibiotics are necessary. If it is allergic, an immediate result can be achieved with decongestants such as sudafed. A more lasting result can be achieved with nasal steroid sprays which reduce or impair the body's inflammatory response and therefore, the congestion.
