With achilles tendon rupture is a third option to not repair or brace?

Achilles rupture: This is a difficult question to answer without knowing more about the history and why you are looking for a third option. In the healthy patient, i wouldn't recommend to a patient not have their achilles tendon repaired surgically or conservatively treated with casting. Patients who are not surgical candidates and do not or can not heal via casting require a brace to assist in gait.

Not really: You need to immobilize the tendon to allow the ends to migrate to each other and heal.
