Is no best: Often times cast are applied to immobilize the foot and ankle. But a high level (below the knee) cam walker could be used with no weight bearing.

See your doctor: As a decision to operate or not needs to be made. Having said that bledsoe makes a nice achilles tendon brace. But, you should be followed by a doctor.
