My cusing has a wound from a gunshot am helping him clean it but he gets out a lot of pus an is red around the wound is it getting infected r is normal?

It is infected: It is not normal to have pus or redness unless it is infected. I would have the wound evaluated by a physician who will most likely culture the wound and start him on the proper antibiotic.
