How much amoxicillin should i take for an abscessed tooth?

Depend on the cause: Amoxicillin only provides temporary relief. You need to schedule an appointment with your dentist to address the cause of the abscessed tooth. If it is gum abscess, Amoxicillin is fine prior to full mouth debridement. With tooth abscess, Clindamycin is the drug of choice prior to root canal therapy.
