Consider : Using an epidural for the first night and then converting to oral nsaids and tylenol (acetaminophen) after that.

A Few: Thrs are often done under regional anesthesia (epidural or spinal) and may be maintained post-op with continuous nerve blocks...Depends on your medical center. Minimally invasive techniques may be associated with less post-op pain and the need for narcotic control. In any case, the amount of narcotics, should you need them, can be titrated to your individual requirements. Don't worry!
