Depends: I don't think there is one definition for quality of life. Every patient and family look at different things. And the same goes for the doctor. The important thing is to try to figure out what the patient wants or would want. Then try not to insert your own feelings into it. I try to ask the family and myself what would the patient want and then try to honor that.
